Title: Academic Marketing Director

2012-2014

I worked for the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences at the University of South Florida from 2012-2014. In that time, I worked on several project throughout the college.

  • Behavioral Healthcare Major – In 2012 the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy was building its first undergraduate major in behavioral healthcare. My first task was to market this major. I collaborated with the department’s dissemination unit and built a robust marketing plan with clear, measurable goals for enrollment and information distribution. We purchased marketing contact lists, sent information packets to each guidance counselor in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk Counties. Through targeting messaging and advertising, we reached our 5-year goals for enrollment in 6 months.
  • Social media – I developed the social media clean up and expansion plan that was implemented college-wide.
  • Web design – I helped construct, maintain, and update the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Peer Specialist Training for the Center for Homelessness Among Veterans. This included working with the learning management system Moodle, editing educational and promotional videos, and running in-depth grant reports.
  • Graphic design – Throughout my tenure, I created multiple social media and print graphics. A sampling is below.
